The View- Democratic ticket
I was watching the view this morning and in they were discussing how the National Organization of Women was really mad that Ted Kennedy backed Obama instead of Hillary Clinton. This really bothered my because similarly to what the women on the view were saying. I feel like it is becoming a race vs. gender issue instead of which candidate is really best for the job. Its great that the nation is starting to accept the idea of a non-white or female president, but is that really the way people should vote? Just because I’m a woman should I support Hillary, even though I believe that Obama might do a better job running the country. I feel like people are getting so wrapped up in sex or race of the candidates that they are forgetting the real issues. Whomever is elected will be running out country for the next 4 years lets not forget how much power we are giving this person and start focusing on the issues and not ones race or sex.
